I can not really think of much to write this week. I on vacation this week so I have not done much, just things around the house. The interesting thing I have done is reading those article for this class. All I can say is WOW! Some of those articles were unbelievable. They really did make me think about women’s health, and how broken the healthcare system in this country is. Every time I read one of the articles I would look at my husband and say “Can you believe this.” The article about the abortion demonstrations was so typical. There are always those people out there that think that they are fighting a cause for the greater good like being pro-life, but never thinking through the cause in its entirety. Like they all think that abortion should be illegal, but what kind of penalty should be imposed for people who break that law. Most of them did not know. Say there is a teenage girl who is raped, she is still a child herself and does not have the means to take care of a child. So she can either have an abortion or she can have the child and put it up for adoption. The child will go to foster care if no one wants to adopt them. The child will have no quality life , they will be bounced around from foster home to foster home until they are 18. What kind of life is that? Not saying that abortion is right or wrong, but people need to think these issue through fully before they make a stand for some them.
